The book is out of date. Not just a little out of date, but very out of date. It talks about Windows XP as if it’s the newest latest thing. Doesn’t even mention Vista (Gag) or Windows 7. Even if the book wasn’t out of date it’s horrible. At least a dozen times in the first 5 chapters the book is wrong. Not completely wrong, but still wrong. The accompanying work book covers stuff that is not covered in the book. I wasn’t sure if I had the right workbook at first, but everyone has this problem. Great! Now if only I didn’t spend half of class wondering what the hell I’m suppose to do....

School has started up again. I think I must have signed up for like 15 classes but because the state budget is so bad and and there are less classes over all I only got into two of them. Sadly, the two classes I got into were not art classes, I did however get into the second half of the computer class I took last semester. The Second class I got is called Introduction to Electronic Music and I have no idea what I've gotten myself into, but I'm gonna stick with it.

I need to write more...

Meh....

I find it incredibly Ironic that when I do finally get around to going back to collage the California Budget is so bad that they're cutting community collage classes.

At least my art class is good. If I ever get my scanner working again I'll have to put some here.

I've been writing elsewhere about things that aren't real. I've found my Dragons again you could say. Reading books helped a lot.

The Adult Content setting makes me want to post extremely erotic entries. You know, the details of one's sex life kind. The thought never crossed my mind until the setting was there.

Open Office needs better spell check...

The Semester is almost over and I've forgotten how much work art classes are. I have fallen behind.

Spring is in the air, that means it's allergy season. For me allergy season seems to be a year round affair that only gets worse in the spring. I wonder if people got allergies one hundred years or two hundred years ago. I suppose they did we just didn't have the medical understanding at the time to understand what was going on. I would say animals don't have allergies but I swear I see my cat sneeze a few times.

I've ultimately been taking the art class in computer class, I guess because I enjoy working both sides of my brain at the same time. I was rather surprised by how much of the computer class I already know. A benefit I suppose of growing up around them. The downside of taking this class is that sometimes I find myself almost falling asleep while instructor goes over things that I already know. At least when a new topic comes up it's fairly easy to awake and become interested again.

My art class is going well, besides the fact that unlike every other art class I have taken in the past there isn't just one student who apparently picked up a pencil at six months old started drawing and never stopped. No, there's five of them. That's okay though at least the teachers helpful this time, unlike the "you can't draw" teacher I had last time. If I keep at it I'll get better, I just have to remember that.

I've been reading a lot. I just finished Anansi Boy by Neil Gaiman and Star Wars: Allegiance and Star Wars: Heir to the Empire both by Timothy Zahn. I've been considering exploring some of the non-Ian Fleming James Bond books. The problem with that of course is that they're not written by Ian Fleming who, at least I think, as a way of saying so much with so few words at times but it's almost an art. I've also been trying to find some fantasy works that aren't based off a already existing world like the forgotten realms books but I haven't had much luck in finding a series or book that strikes my interest.

Things have mostly fallen into the fairly dull category lately, and I have to say I'm rather happy with the fairly dull state lately. We exchange one rut for another rut. Ghost's current rut involves coming home dead tired and complaining about all the people who shorted her on tips that night. Don't mind except for the getting home dead tired part. It's been a bit hard for her to get consistent work playing music lately. No worries though, at least about that.

I am not looking forward to the heat of the summer.

Obama, Please be 1/3 as good as you appear...... and don't get shot.

How will the daily show survive? Where will I get my news!

I'm gonna take some classes this spring. A Drawing class where hopefully the teacher doesn't suck like the last one. Then I am torn between taking History of Cinema and Music Appreciation Class (That is the study of what makes up Music). I want to start with sometihng easy cause it''s been so long since I did any schooling.

Here's to the future.

A black man as president but gays can no longer get married in California. But enough about the election seriously it feels like this whole thing is going on for the last two years. It's made me wonder what other elections have been like, history doesn't keep good track of that kind of thing. So on to more maintained things like getting a working Internet connection.

The Internet connection here put in the simplest terms in the nicest terms of absolute total shit. Ever since I've moved here it's been one problem after another and it's where they've replaced practically every bit of line between the modem and the street at least twice and hasn't been fixed. So finally the decision was made to replace Time Warner was someone else, ADSL being the only other choice without a fee thousand dollars and installation fees and a bill of at least $150 a month. And so the saga begins...

The first problem encountered was the service address, you see the house is a duplex or at least as far as the city is concerned it is a duplex. The phone lines were all going to the same side of the duplex when they should have been split between the two sides. No problem, right? Just call the phone company and have them change in their records or wherever which phone numbers are where, no problem. No need to rewire anything right? Wrong. So the phone company did need someone to come out and rewire things, price of the service call $125. That wouldn't be so bad if you didn't also count the $40 service charge per line (for a total of $120 for three lines), $16 to move the messaging service on two of lines, and $12 more to move call waiting on all three of the one. No seriously they charge you to move call waiting. I'm not making this up. If I was making it up it be something funny, like they force you to take care of the flamingo for a week. Right, so the tech comes out moves the phone lines. Everything works! no I'm just kidding.

The house had a phone system and AT&T does not work on phone systems even if something they do causes the phone system cannot work anymore. Like say rewiring the phone lines. So I had to find and call a phone tech the works on the particular type of phone system in the house and have them come out and fix the phone system which was broken by AT&T. $125 more later and the phone system works, however there's a problem. What is at problem? Well you see the phone system in the house is pretty old and something about it causes it to eat the DSL signal. Great! Of course the simple task of just getting a phone jack put in for the DSL couldn't possibly be easy could it. Of course not! It took the tech a good three hours to finally get the extra line for the DSL to even work and once their part was done (costing only $150 this time) it was finally time to see if the DSL even worked on the DSL companies end.

Ofcorse it didn't... so now it's time for their tech to come out which charges I may be liable for.

$548 later and I still don't have DSL. Oi.
